Check out the new vintage maxi skirt I got! I'm going to admit, its the first time I bought a vintage piece off of eBay, and in all truth, I bid for this skirt half hoping I wasn't going to win. It was an impulse click! and after I did win, I was worried I wasn't going to like it.

But....

The skirt was a success when I wore it on Easter, although it was just family, the compliments kept coming! I am definatly not regretting my purchase, especially now that I have a couple different ideas on what to pair it with. The outfit in these pics is so cute.

9 - New Technology in Fashion

I know that people all over the world have heard or seen the Ralph Lauren 4D Experience already, but I am so completely impressed by what they did here, and I still have yet to see anything like it. This was the first thing that came into my mind when trying to think of new technology used in fashion presentations. I wanted to share this with you guys, to point out how amazing this was, and the possibilities of the future!

8- Lookbooks

All Saints

I absolutely love All Saints style and their designs are to die for. I always love to look at their look books to see what their newest trends are. Although I'll admit that I have to save an arm and a leg to buy any of the items i want, I think that for how expensive of a company they are, their look books are a little too "simple." I would really like to see them get more into the photography and incorporate what their themes for each season are about, rather than just showcasing the designs on models. What do you guys think?

Beginning when I worked at Saks Fifth, I fell in love with Rebecca Minkoff's handbags, considering I got to play with them ALL summer long working in the handbag department. Her look is very chic and sort of "downtown" ish, which makes her appealing as a contemporary designer. Her newest line, shown in the trunk show for Spring 2011 are amazing, and makes me admire her styles even more. Who wants to hire me so I can have the income to buy ALL of it?!? =D

6- Video Post

Free People is one of my favorite fashion retailers. I love everything about their look and how they display that look to their customers. Its so "Free" and down to earth, which is exactly up my alley.

5- Color Trend for Spring 2011

I have always been a sucker for neutrals, but after checking out some color trends on forecasting websites, I am EXTREMELY excited that they are making a big appearance this spring. According to Stylesight, skintones and earthy shades are in for the season and creating a warm and comforting palette that i know i will be obsessed with. What do you guys think?

4 - Color on the Streets

Black and Grays, Rainy Days

Despite the warmth that today had in store, the weather was certainly not letting us enjoy a minute of it. The only thing that makes a Monday even worse, is rain (or snow). I took an interest into what people choose to wear on these gloomy days, and like you would expect, there was tons of black. I find it interesting to look at what makes people dress the way they do. Some dress for the weather, some dress for the way they feel that day, others dress to impress, some dress for comfort, and some dress to express.

now, i KNOW for sure that every one of us has spotted these before. Personally, when i first noticed that patterned tights were coming into style, i didn't expect myself to fall into it, but ofcourse they are one of my favorites in my closet nowadays. who woulda known.

they make simple outfits not so simple, and considering im a big fan of the minimalism trend so a lot of my everyday outfits aren't super exciting or something out of the ordinary, but putting on a pair of pattern tights defntly changes it up!

I saw this girl on the train one night going out, thought she looked really cute! I did feel a little creepy taking the picture though ha.

Im sure you guys can agree that a pair of Spanx is as good as anything! gotta love em

2-Key Items for Spring11

After exploring more fashion forecasting sights, I started getting really into it. im pretty excited to see some of the new concepts I found for Spring 11. These are some examples of my favorite colors and themes for this upcoming spring!

Since the beginning of fall, I've been really into oversized shirts not only because they are comfortable and flow nicely, but they are trendy and sophisticated all in one. One key item for Spring 11 in my closet will certainly be an oversized shirt, especially because it can be matched with almost anything =P

This blog is my friend Sam's. We met while working together at an Italian Bakery, Fiorello Dulce in Huntington, NY. I love her style, which is similar to mine, so I love her fashion blog. Also she blogs about food and other things that interest her such as DIY projects, which i LOVE. Now she is in Portugal, and I'm looking forward to reading about her experience there.
